Adab-ı Sedat'taki Tartışma Örneklerinden Bazılarının Modern Mantık'taki Tartışma Mantığı Çizelgesi İçinde Uygulanması

Abstract

The aim of this article is to discuss the possibility of transcending the ongoing tensions between the premises of the classical and modern logic which have been continuing from the beginning of the 20th century up to present day and to evaluate -whether both approaches have overlapping aspects. Thus, the studyintroduces a new approach about the applicability of the models of logic of discussion, one of the sub-branches of the logic, which takes place in Adab-I Sedat written by Ahmet Cevdet Paşa, who was one of the leading figures in thinking and politics in the period of Tanzimat and Meşrutiyet, with the symbols of modern logic.

Abstract

Bu makalenin amacı; 20. yüzyılın başı'anndan günümüze değin gelen klasik ve moçlern mantık çekişmelerinden sıyrılıp her iki mantık anla- . yı ş ının örtüşen noktalannın olup olmayacağını irdelemektir. Böylece Tanzimat ve Meşrutiyet döneminin önde gelen siyaset ve fikir adamlarından' biri olan Ahmet Cevdet Paşa'nın Adab-I Sedat isimli mantık eserindeki tartışma mantığına ilişkin örneklerin modern mantık sembolleri içinde uygulanabilirliğine ilişkin bir çabadır.
