A Canceptual Approach to "Education" in The Light of Philosophical Antrepology

Abstract

As a "being of capacities and tendencies;" the educalian of human being is extremely important. Wlıile it _is necessary to develop these capacities, the more important issue seems to be to guide these tendencies lawards the right direction. To realize this. it is necessary to know the human being and his/her atlributes that nıake him/her a human being. In this context. the attributes which philosoplıical antrepology ascribes to humans are iıııportant, for it is not possible to educale a human being correctly without knowing lıiııı/her fırst. At this point, it is interesting to see how ihe strucure of God-Universe relationship is similar to that of the educator and to be educated. In fact, the Arabic terms "Rabb" and "tarbiyah" come from the same origin .. Therefore, the content of the term "Rabb" gives us same clues as to how the educalian should be pursued
