Abstract

At 19th century Mehmed Fevzî Efendi, who is one of the well-known
scholar and a good writer that write so much works, has an important
place at our classic literary works, especially religious-verse. When
we look at Mehmed Fevzî Efendi’s religious-verse, the approach which
takes the the Prophet Muhammed center of the topic are seen
openly.In that situation, Mehmed Fevzî Efendi wrote so much works
such as mevlit, miraciye, regâibiyye. In that frame, the poet, who
wrote mevlit wrote a booklet against the people who describe the
reading and listening the mevlit as a sin.
In addition to Mehmed Fevzî is a poet of mevlit, his writing a booklet
which is lawful to listening and reading is the most important special
feature separating his from the other poets. In our working, Mehmed Fevzî wrote a booklet called ‘’İsbâtü’l-Muhassenât li-tilâvet-i Mevlid-i
Seyyidü’s-Sâdât’’ which show us why the reading a mevlit is lawful.
And this booklet showed the difference approach of mevlit tradition
on the condition giving the text of the booklet.

Mehmed Fevzî Efendi’nin Mevlit Okumanın ve Dinlemenin Câiz Olduğuna Dair Risales

Abstract

19. asrın en velûd ve tanınmış ulemâsından olan Mehmed Fevzî Efendi,
özellikle dinî-manzum eserleriyle klasik edebiyatımızda önemli bir
yere sahiptir. Mehmed Fevzî Efendi’nin dinî-manzum eserlerine baktı-
ğımızda Hz. Peygamber’i merkeze alan bir yaklaşım sergilediği açıkça
görülmektedir. Bu bağlamda Mehmed Fevzî; mevlit, miraciye,
regâibiyye gibi eserler yazmıştır. Bu çerçevede iki mevlit yazan şair,
yaşadığı dönemde mevlidin okunmasını ve dinlenmesini bid’at olarak
nitelendiren çevrelere karşı da bir risale yazmıştır.
Mehmed Fevzî’nin bir mevlit şairi olmasının yanı sıra mevlit okumanın
ve dinlemenin caiz olduğuna dair bir risale yazması onu diğer mevlit
şairlerinden ayıran en önemli özelliğidir. Çalışmamızda Mehmed Fevzî’nin
mevlit okumanın neden caiz olduğunu anlattığı “İsbâtü’lMuhassenât
li-tilâvet-i Mevlid-i Seyyidü’s-Sâdât” adlı risalesinin metni
verilmek suretiyle mevlit geleneğindeki bu farklı yaklaşım gözler önü-
ne serilmiştir.
