• Blind refereeing is a method applied to publish scientific publications with the highest quality. This method forms the basis of the objective evaluation process of scientific studies.
• Sivas Cumhuriyet University uses double-blind method in the evaluation process of all studies in Science and Technology journal. In the double-blind method, the identities of the authors and referees of the studies are hidden.
• Names or any information that could decipher the identity of the author should not be written in the studies sent to Sivas Cumhuriyet University Science and Technology journal. The information about the authors of the articles that are approved for publication after the referee process is added by the editor and the journal secretariat at the publication stage.
• Every study submitted to Sivas Cumhuriyet University Science and Technology journal is first evaluated by the editor or assistant editors in terms of its compliance with the writing and publishing principles. As a result of this evaluation, if there are corrections to be made by the author, the manuscript is returned to the author by requesting correction by the editors.
• Studies that do not comply with the writing principles are not sent to the referee.
• Studies that are found suitable for evaluation in terms of writing and publishing principles are directed to the referees. At least two referees are assigned for the evaluation of each study that passes editorial approval. Referees are selected from among people who have expertise in the field represented by the article.
• The names of the referees and authors are kept confidential from each other.
• The evaluation period of the work sent to the referees is maximum 2 weeks. At the end of this process, a new referee is appointed for the work that is not reported, or the referees are reminded again.
• The study that receives two positive referee reports from the field evaluation is entitled to be published. The study, which receives a positive and negative referee report, is sent to a third referee and whether the study will be published or not is determined in line with the report of the third referee. Correction suggestions and evaluation form responses of the referees are recorded in the system.
• Corrections from referees or editors must be completed by the authors within 1 month. The referees can examine the corrections of a study and decide whether it is appropriate or request more than one correction if necessary.
• Reviewers may want to see the work they want correction once more before it is published. If this request is stated in the report, the corrected version of the text is automatically sent to the referee by the system.
• Authors may object to the referee's report within a reasonable framework and with convincing data. Objections are reviewed by the journal management and, if deemed appropriate, the opinions of a different referee or referees can be consulted on the subject.
