In analog electronic applications, active filters can be designed with operational amplifier (OPAMP) and operational transconductance amplifier (OTA), but recently the current mode circuits are on the way with current applications. Current conveyor structures are preferred in analog designs because of their better bandwidth and linearity than voltage-mode operational amplifiers [1-3]. Using a voltage controlled second generation current conveyor (VCCII), a high gain band pass filter can be implemented. The series resistance at the X terminal of VCCII can be controlled by the bias voltage. In this study, a voltage controlled band pass filter in voltage mode is proposed using the variable resistance characteristic of terminal X of VCCII. The band pass filter is designed using a minimum number of passive elements (only two VCCIIs and two capacitors). The voltage gain of the filter is about 57.6 dB. The center frequency, which can be adjusted according to the control voltage of the filter, is about 15.7 kHz.
