A case of right atrial pseudoaneurysm with a prediagnosis of COVID-19 pneumonia resulting in severe respiratory failure

Abstract

A patient suspected of Covid-19 pneumonia, in whom pneumonia lesions were first detected by chest computed tomography, was further evaluated by transthoracic echocardiography due to cardiomegaly. Transthoracic echocardiography revealed a large right atrial-related ruptured pseudoaneurysm. Contrast-enhanced computed tomography ruled out bilateral multiple lung nodules and pulmonary embolism associated with mural thrombus in the right atrial pseudoaneurysm.

COVID-19 pnömonisi öntanısı alan ağır solunum yetmezliği ile sonuçlanan sağ atriyal psödoanevrizma olgusu

Abstract

Kovid-19 pnömonisinden şüphelenilen ve ilk olarak akciğer bilgisayarlı tomografisinde pnömoni lezyonları tespit edilen bir hasta kardiyomegali nedeniyle transtorasik ekokardiyografi ile ayrıca değerlendirildi. Transtorasik ekokardiyografide sağ atriyumla ilişkili büyük bir rüptüre psödoanevrizma saptandı. Kontrastlı bilgisayarlı tomografide sağ atriyal psödoanevrizmada iki taraflı çok sayıda akciğer nodülü ve mural trombüs ile ilişkili pulmoner emboli görüldü.
