İHRACATA DAYALI BÜYÜME HİPOTEZİ: POLONYA EKONOMİSİ ÜZERİNE AMPİRİK BİR ARAŞTIRMA

İHRACATA DAYALI BÜYÜME HİPOTEZİ: POLONYA EKONOMİSİ ÜZERİNE AMPİRİK BİR ARAŞTIRMA

Abstract

Dış ticaret ile büyüme arasındaki ilişkinin kökenini Adam Smith’in çalışmaları kadar eskide görebilmek mümkündür. Ancak bu değişkenler arasındaki ilişkiye yönelik çalışmalar özellikle 20. yüzyılın sonlarında küreselleşme olgusunun yaygınlaşmasıyla iktisatçıların dikkatini daha fazla çekmeye başlamıştır. Çünkü küreselleşme sürecinde ülkelerin dış ticaret hacimlerinin ciddi bir şekilde arttığı görülmüştür. Bu süreçten olumlu etkilenen ülkelerden biri de şüphesiz Polonya’dır. Çalışmamızda Polonya’yı seçmemizin önemli nedenleri mevcuttur. Bu nedenler gösterdiği ihracat ve büyüme performansındaki başarı ile yakın geçmiş ve gelecek açısından Avrupa Birliği’nin büyüme motoru olarak görülmesi, milli gelir ve ihracat açısından Türkiye ile benzer yapıda olması ve ülke nezdinde ihracata dayalı büyümeyi test etmeye yönelik çalışmaların sınırlı sayıda olması şeklinde sıralanabilir. Çalışmada Polonya ekonomisi için ihracata dayalı büyüme hipotezinin geçerliliği 1995Q1-2017Q1 dönemleri arasında çeyrek dönemlik ihracat ve GSYİH verilerini kullanarak Johansen eşbütünleşme testi yöntemi ile analiz edilmiştir. Elde edilen bulgular ihracat ile GSYİH arasında pozitif ilişkinin varlığını göstermektedir. Bu sonuca göre çeyreklik dönemler itibariyle ihracatta meydana gelecek bir artış GSYİH’yı arttırmaktadır.
