Occurrence and Distribution of Chickpea Root Rot and Wilt Disease in Yozgat Kırşehir and Kırıkkale Provinces

Abstract

A total of 139 different fields were sampled to determine root rot and wilt disease parameters in chickpea production areas in Yozgat, Kırıkkale and Kırşehir. For all three provinces, disease incidence (Yozgat 22.9%; Kırıkkale 19.6%; Kırşehir 10.5%) and severity (Yozgat 19.0%; Kırıkkale 15.5%; Kırşehir 12.8%) rates were consistent with each other. Fusarium oxysporum, F. solani, Rhizoctonia bataticola (Macrophomina phaseolina) and R. solani were isolated from diseased chickpeas. F. oxysporum was the most commonly isolated fungal species. F. oxysporum isolates obtained from Yozgat were genetically more similar to Kırşehir isolates and Yozgat isolates of F. oxysporum were more virulent than Kırıkkale and Kırşehir isolates.

Yozgat Kırşehir ve Kırıkkale illerinde Nohut Kök Çürüklük ve Solgunluk Hastalığının Oluşumu ve Dağılımı

Abstract

Yozgat, Kırıkkale ve Kırşehir’de nohut üretim alanlarında kök çürüklük ve solgunluk hastalık parametrelerini belirlemek için toplam 139 farklı tarladan örnekleme yapılmıştır. Her üç il için, hastalık bulunma (Yozgat %22.9; Kırıkkale %19.6; Kırşehir %10.5) ve şiddet (Yozgat %19.0; Kırıkkale %15.5; Kırşehir %12.8) oranlarının birbirleriyle uyumlu olduğu saptanmıştır. Hastalıklı nohutlardan Fusarium oxysporum, F. solani, Rhizoctonia bataticola (Macrophomina phaseolina) ve R. solani izole edilmiştir. F. oxysporum en yaygın izole edilen fungal tür olarak tespit edilmiştir. Yozgat’tan elde edilen F. oxysporum izolatları Kırşehir izolatları ile genetiksel olarak daha benzer ve F. oxysporum’un Yozgat izolatlarının Kırıkkale ve Kırşehir izolatlarına göre daha virülent olduğu belirlenmiştir.
