Evaluation of Some of Productivity Parameters According to Parent Materials in the Semi-Arid Environment of Central Anatolia
Abstract
This study presents soil formation processes occurring on geological formations with different ages and origins and the effect of the main material on the soil's physical and chemical efficiency.
According to the results, the pH-value of all soils is over 7. All of the soil is very limely. The texture ranged from clay and sandy clay. There was no salinity in the soil. The organic matter, regardless of the main material, was lower. The clay mineralogy of the soils showed similar features. In terms of prime minerals the volcanic soil has a bigger mineral diversity. According to this the potential chemical productivity of the volcanic soil is higher than of the main material of the other soils
