Bal Arılarının Viral Hastalıkları

Abstract

Arıcılık dünyada ekonomik olarak tarıma ve tozlaşma vasıtasıyla bitkisel üretime ve dolayısıyla ekosisteme yadsınamayacak katkılar sağlar. Arı kovanlarında sebebi açıklanamayan koloni kayıplarının önüne geçilmesi ve bu kayıpların en aza indirilmesi dünyamızın geleceği ve devamı için şarttır. Arı kolonilerindeki kayıplarda değişik faktörlerle birlikte virusların da rol oynayabileceği düşünülmektedir. Zira koloni sönmesi gözlenen kolonilerin viral ve paraziter etkenlerle aynı anda enfekte olma oranlarının diğer patojenlerin birlikte bulunma oranlarına göre hayli yüksek olduğu bilinmektedir. Ülkemizde dünya çapında önemli bir sayıda bal arısı populasyonu olmasına rağmen arı virusları ile ilgili ayrıntılı bilgi bulunmaktadır. Bu derlemenin amacı, bal arılarının viral hastalıklarıyla alakalı genel bir bilgi sunmak ve son gelişmeleri değerlendirmektir.
