Abstract
Rekabetin ve değişimin hızlı yaşandığı günümüzde, teknoloji ve iletişim ağlarındaki gelişmeyleküreselleşme daha hızlı bir şekilde gerçekleşir. Küreselleşme, fiziki sınırların aşılması ve ekonomik ilişkilerin tekbir pazar haline gelmesi olarak bilinir. Farklı yazarlar tarafından çeşitli şekillerde tanımlanan küreselleşme,toplum tarafından daha çok ekonomik boyutu ile tanınır. Oysaki küreselleşme ile birlikte pek çok yeni kavramortaya çıkmış olup eğitimde küreselleşme de bunlar arasındadır. Eğitimde daha çok yükseköğretimde belirginolan küreselleşme, aslında eğitimin her kademesinde ve biriminde etkisini gösterir. Topluma nitelikli işgücüyetiştirmekle görevli olan eğitim kurumları, küreselleşmenin getirdiği gelişmeleri takip ederek yenidünyadüzenine uyumlu bireyler yetiştirebilmek için önlem almakla yükümlüdür. Ancak, görülen odur ki pek çok kurumve ilgili kişi, küreselleşmenin ve etkilerinin farkında dahi değildir. Buradan hareketle, alan yazın taramasıyöntemi ile yapılan bu betimsel çalışmada küreselleşmenin eğitim ve Türkiye’deki eğitim üzerindeki etkileriirdelenmiştir. Küreselleşme bağlamında detaylı bilgiler için yerli ve yabancı kaynaklardan yararlanılmış, konugeniş bir açıdan ele alınmıştır. Bu nedenle öncelikle küreselleşme kavramı açıklanıp sebepleri ve sonuçlarınayer verilmiş, sonra da eğitim üzerindeki etkileri tartışılmıştır. Küreselleşmenin eğitim üzerindeki etkileri genelolarak incelendikten sonra konunun daha iyi anlaşılması için eğitim konusu da dört alt başlık altında işlenmiştir.Araştırma sonuçları derlenerek küreselleşmenin eğitime etkisinden olumlu faydalanmak için çeşitli önerilerevurgu yapılmıştır
Abstract
In an era of severe competition and rapid changes, globalization has been flourishing swiftly due to thedevelopments in technology and communication. Globalization is known as crossing the boundaries of lands andthe creation of a single market in financial relations. Although defined in different ways by various scientists,society remembers it with its financial dimensions. In fact, lots of new concepts have emerged along withglobalization and globalization in education is among these. Although globalization in education has mostlyappeared in higher education, it is prevalent in every stage and unit of education. Responsible for trainingqualified human capital for the society, educational institutions are expected to follow the changes ofglobalization and take measures to produce individuals who can adapt to the new world order. However, it isobvious that most of the institutions and people in education sector are ignorant of globalization and its effects.In this regard, the effects of globalization on education and education in Turkey were analyzed in thisdescriptive research, which was carried out in the form of literature review. Data about globalization wasgather from both national and international resources and the topic was discussed in detail. Thus, the concept ofglobalization was explained with its reasons and results and than its impacts on education were studied in abroad sense. This was followed by the detailed analysis of the relationship between education and globalizationunder four sub-headings. Lastly, the results were examined and suggestions to positively benefit fromglobalization were given
