Bu çalışmanın amacı, okulların çocuk koruma politika belgelerini inceleyerek çocukların korunmasıylailgili okullardaki düzenlemelerin neler olduğunu İngiltere örneğinde belirlemektedir. Nitel araştırmayaklaşımına dayanan bu çalışmada doküman analizi yöntemi kullanılmıştır. Araştırma kapsamında İngiltere’deninternet üzerinden ulaşılan 10 ilkokulun çocuk koruma politika belgesi biçimsel ve içeriksel olarak incelenmiştir.Politika belgelerinin biçimsel özellikleri saptandıktan sonra veriler içerik analiziyle çözümlenmiştir. Araştırmabulgularına göre, biçimsel özellikler yönünden çocuk koruma politika belgeleri arasında bir benzerlik olmadığı,İngiltere’de okullarda somut bir çocuk koruma politikası olduğu, çocuk koruma hizmetleriyle eğitimhizmetlerinin işbirliği içerisinde yürütüldüğü, okul personelinin çocuk koruma eğitimi almalarının gerekligörüldüğü, okullarda çocuk koruma hizmetlerinden özel olarak sorumlu bir görevlinin bulunduğu anlaşılmıştır
Purpose of this study is to explore regulations related to protect children in schools, by examining childprotection policy documents of schools, in the case of England. In this study, based on qualitative researchapproach, document analysis method has been used. Within the scope of this research, Child Protection PolicyDocuments of ten primary schools from England, accessible on the internet, have been examined as formal andcontextual. The data were analyzed with content analysis after formal and contextual features of PolicyDocuments had been determined. According to the research findings, it has been understood that there is nosimilarity in terms of formal features between those Policy Documents, there is concrete Child Protection Policyin England, child protection services and educational services are carried out together, it is accepted as anecessity that school staff should be trained on child protection and there is a designated person especiallyresponsible for child protection services in schools
