Sanal kaytarma davranışları iş yaşamında son zamanlarda üzerinde durulan
bir kavram olmuştur. Günümüzün dijital dünyasında, öğrencilerin internete bağlı
cihazlarını sınıflara getirmeleri yaygındır. Bununla birlikte, bu cihazları
derslerde sınıf dışı ilişkili amaçlar için kullanmak, öğrencilerin akademik
performansının yanı sıra eğitmenler için can sıkıcı olabilir. Sanal kaytarma
Cyberloafing behavior is an important concept recently
emphasized in business life. In today's digital world, bringing students' internet-connected
devices to the classroom, and using them for non-educational purposes, can be
problematic for students’ academic performance as well as for educator. The
intensity of social network usage and uninterrupted time on the internet affect
students' cyberloafing behaviors. The most important of these negative effects
is the negative effect on the attention and focus ability of the students. In
this study, it was aimed to reveal the relationship between social network
usage intensities of the university students and the duration of uninterrupted
periods on the internet and cyberloafing behaviors. In this respect, the
relation between social network usage intensities and their existence in cyberloafing
behaviors were determined. The sample of the study consisted of 450 students at
a public university. Quantitative research method was used in the research and data
were collected and analyzed by using SPSS statistical program. While young
people using social networks have significant cyberloafing behaviors, it is
considered that young people who spend less time on social networking sites
exhibit insignificant cyber loafing behaviors. In addition, it was observed
that social network usage density and uninterrupted internet access times differed
according to the demographic characteristics of youth.
