.The relationship between philosophy and music have gained different meanings during the history of philosophy. The question of “how is this relation?” also has maintained its importance because of the uncertainty of this very relation. Therefore, this question can’t be answered easily. Contrarily, it will remain a question that allowing different answers as the perspectives of different periods of philosophical history are revealed. In this paper, firstly we have handled the views of both ancient Greek philosophers and classical Muslim philosophers on music. After that, the effort of philosophy to posit music has been problamatized in the light of the notions of “place”, “space”, “positioning”, “power”, “alienation”, and especially “unpretentiousness”. We also have conceptualized the idiom of “break fresh ground” --that literally means to open a new road and idiomatically means to deal with something in a new way- by removing it from everyday use in favor of our philosophical purpose.
