The Art of Quotation in the Pamphlets of Abd al-Hamid: The Example of the Obedience Pamphlet
Abstract
This article deals with the life of Abdulhamid el-Katib who was one of the greatest writers in the Arabic literature in the second century (the Hegira) and his work, the pamphlet of obedience, “Taat Risale”. The study, first, defines the concepts of inşa (letter) and the pamphlet. Secondly, it examines briefly the life of Abdulhamid and his work titled the art of quotation. Thirdly, it presents the obedience Pamphlet with its Turkish translation. Fourthly and lastly, it analysis some arts of quotations passed in the Pamphlet
