Individual And Social Responsibilities Towards Fatherless And Motherless Orphans From The Angle Of Islam

Abstract

In this article the case of being orphan has been taken up, and as individuals and society our religious, moral and social responsibilities towards orphans have been pointed out, and what can be done in solving their problems has been investigated. At the same time it has been aimed to activate the individual and social sensitivity towards orphans. A human being is the only creature that spends a long childhood period in parallel with his heavy responsibilities. Therefore, it is a necessity to grow and train him in health and powerfully to overcome the duties expected from him. The responsibilities towards orphans may be placed on two main axes: Material and moral. The material responsibili-ties can be expressed as protecting orphans’ lives and properties and meeting their needs such as food, wear and shelter. As for the moral ones, they include every action concerning the psychological development of orphans. For exam-ple, to behave them compassionately, to prepare an environment full of love for them, to interest in their education by giving the required religious education and making them gain all moral values are all included in this area.

Fert ve Toplumun Yetim ve Öksüzlere Karşısorumlulukları

Öz

Bu makalede yetimlik olgusu ele alınmış, birey ve toplum olarak taşıdığımız dinî, ahlakî ve sosyal sorumluluklara dikkat çekilmiş, sorunun çözümünde ne-lerin yapılabileceği konusu irdelenmiş, yetimlere karşı ferdî ve toplumsal duyar-lılıkların harekete geçirilmesi amaçlanmıştır. İnsanoğlu, sorumluluklarının ağırlığına paralel olarak uzun bir çocukluk dönemi geçiren tek varlıktır. Dolayısıyla kendisinden beklenen görevlerin üstesinden gelebilmesi için güçlü, sağlıklı ve yararlı bir kişilikle yetişmesi gerekir. Yetim ve öksüzlere karşı sorumluluklar, maddî ve manevî olmak üzere iki ana eksen üzerinde yoğunlaştırılabilir. Maddî sorumluluklar, yetim ve öksüzlerin malını ve canını korumak; beslenme, giyinme ve barınma gibi ihtiyaçlarını karşılamak olarak ifade edilebilir. Manevî sorumluluklar ise, yetim ve öksüzün psikolojik ge-lişimini ilgilendiren her eylemi içerir. Şefkat dolu davranışlar sergilemek, sevgi dolu bir ortam hazırlamak, eğitimiyle ilgilenmek, dinî bilgiler vermek, güzel bir ahlâk kazandırmak hep bu alana girer.
