The Role Of Hypocrites in The Making Of Kharijities
Abstract
The Kharijites, an influential sect in Islamic History, the first Mulism dissi-dents and rebels, emerged without depending on a İslamic tradition or any references is regarded as a deviation from Islamic thought. It is Kharijites in the Islamic History who took up the first terrorist act, that is, the murder of Caliph Osman which eventually led to the Cemel, Sıffin and Nehrevân wars break out. Caliph Ali also was martyred by a member of Kharijite group. They interpreted Quran with a bedoin viewpoint, did not take the holy texts a whole, and read it literally or categorically. Due to their ignorance and misinterpretation of Quran, they misunderstood it and therefore attackted the muslims. Though bedoin viewpoint, misinterpretation of holy texts and tribalism played an important part in the emergence of Kharijites, it were the hypocritical leaders who in fact caused and encouraged the sect to came out
