Abstract

In recent years, there have been changes affecting many dimensions of human life. The last of these changes is the phenomenon called artificial intelligence. At this point, it is possible to say that the artificial intelligence phenomenon, which is thought to cause significant changes in many areas of life, will affect the fields of religion/theology research and religious applications and services. In addition, it is thought that religion is a determining factor in the formation of views on artificial intelligence. In this context, a considerable number of scientific studies have been conducted on artificial intelligence and religion and continue to be conducted. In this study, an effort is made to present the current accumulation as a whole and to determine a possible perspective for the future by conducting a bibliometric analysis of the studies conducted on this subject. The study is limited to scientific publications on artificial intelligence and religion in the Web of Science database. In this context, issues such as the types of publications, their distribution by year, places of publication, distribution by country and author, collaborations between countries and authors, distribution and frequencies of key concepts were examined through bibliometric data.
