al-Ghazālī criticized the philosophers in general, especially Ibn Sīnā in the second chapter of the first proof of Tahāfut al-falāsifa (Incoherence of the Philosophers), in the context of the time without beginning of the Universe. Particularly in the context of this chapter, Ibn Sīnā and the arguments between some groups and opinions questioning the power and the domain of God are conveyed from the language of philosophers. Although he did not mention any names in these discussions about the squares and opinions that we have in mind, It is said that the debate in this chapter of Tahāfut was made between Ibn Sīnā and the detainee, who was known by the name of Ehl Taʿṭīl, questioning the might of Allah. Because it will be seen that the expressions of Ibn Sīnā's works and the allegations of al-Ghazālī in Tahāfut are similar or complementary to each other. This article discusses how consistent the al-Ghazālī criticism is in this context.
