Bitki Sekonder Metabolitlerinin Biyoreaktörlerde Üretilmesi

Öz

Bitki sekonder metabolitleri sağlık ve gıda olmak üzere bir çok endüstride yoğun talep gören hammedelerdir. Bu yoğun ihtiyacı karşılamak için bitkilerde çok az miktarlarda üretilen sekonder metabolitlerin büyük miktarlarda üretilmesini sağlayan in vitro bitki doku kültürü çalışmaları gün geçtikçe artmaktadır. Son yıllarda bitki doku kültürü teknikleri ile yapılan çalışmalar teknoloji ile buluşmuş ve biyoreaktör teknolojisinin gelişimi ile sonuçlanmıştır. Bu çalışmada öncelikle bitki sekonder metabolilerinin çeşitleri ve önemi hakkında kısa bilgiler verilmiş, bitki doku kültürü tekniklerinin sekonder metabolit üretiminde kullanımı örneklerle anlatılmıştır. Son olarak biyoreaktörlerin tanımı, tarihsel gelişim ve çeşitleri, laboratuar ölçeğinden başlanılarak şuan endüstriyel ölçekte kullanılan başarılı biyoreaktör uygulamaları hakkında bilgiler verilmiştir.

The Production of Plant Secondary Metabolites Using Bioreactors

Abstract

Plant secondary metabolites are highly demanded raw materials in many industries such as healthcare and food. In order to meet this heavy demand, there have been ever increasing in vitro plant tissue culture studies which contribute to the production of large amounts of secondary metabolites that are produced scarcely in the plants. Studies regarding the plant tissue culture techniques have been integrated with the technology, leading to the improvement of bioreactor technology. In this study, the types and importance of plant secondary metabolites have been briefly explained and the use of plant tissue culture techniques in secondary metabolite production has been exemplified. Eventually, the definition, historical development and various types of bioreactors, along with the current successful bioreactor practices used at the industrial scale have been explained beginning from the laboratory scale
