Time As A Problem Perception And Symbol In The Paintings Of Komet (Gürkan Coşkun)

This study investigates the relation between space and time starting from the reality of the existence of time as an abstract concept. It was depicted how time in paintings is dealt with as a problem of perception and symbol and how the painter united the concept time with the audience in his works. Then, some determinations were made as to concepts of figure-space-time in the paintings of comet (Gürkan COŞKUN). The subject enriched with the citations was developed with the reference to the influence of the changing descriptions of time-space on the perception of modern painting. Finally, it was mentioned how comet paintings should and will be perceived in the changing and developing atmosphere.

Bu araştırmada zamanın soyut bir kavram olarak varoluşu gerçeğinden yola çıkılarak zaman-mekân birlikteliği incelenmeye çalışılmıştır. Resimde zamanın bir algı ve temsil sorunu olarak nasıl ele alındığı, sanatçının çalışmalarında zaman kavramını izleyiciyle buluşturmasıdır süreci irdelendikten sonra, Komet (Gürkan COŞKUN) resimlerinde figür-mekân-zaman kavramları ile yapılan bir takım tespitlere yer verilmiştir. Yapılan alıntılamalarla zenginleştirilmeye çalışılan konu, günümüzde değişen zaman-mekân tanımlamalarının çağdaş resim algısına yaptığı etkilere değinilerek geliştirilmiştir. Komet resimlerinin değişen ve gelişen bu atmosferde nasıl algılanması gerektiği yada nasıl algılanacağı belirtilerek sonuçlandırılmıştır.
