Olasılık Kavramlarıyla ilgili Geliştirilen Öğretim Materyallerinin Öğrencilerin Kavramsal Gelişimine Etkisi
Abstract
Bu araştırmanın amacı, araştırmacı tarafından geliştirilen somut öğretim nesneleri, çalışma yaprakları ve bir adet kavram haritası ile gerçekleştirilen öğretimin ilköğretim 8. sınıf öğrencilerinin olasılık konusundaki kavramsal gelişimlerine etkisini belirlemektir. Araştırmanın örneklemi, Doğu Karadeniz Bölgesi'ndeki bir ilçe merkezindeki bir ilköğretim okulunun sekizinci sınıfında okuyan 20 öğrencidir. Bu öğrencilere uygulama öncesi ve sonrası geliştirilen 16 açık uçlu sorudan oluşan "Kavramsal Gelişim Testi" uygulanmıştır. Yapılan istatistiksel analizler sonucunda geliştirilen materyallerin olasılık kavramlarının gelişiminde etkili olduğu belirlenmiştir.
Abstract
The aim of this study is to determine how the concrete instructional materials, worksheets and a concept map designed by researcher influence grade-8 students' conceptual development of probability concepts. The sample comprising of 20 grade 8 students were selected randomly from a Elementary School in a district of the Eastern Karadeniz Region of Turkey. While conceptual development test consisting of 16 open¬ended questions was administered as a pre-test before intervention, the same test was re¬administered as a post-test after intervention. As a result of the statistical analysis applied, it can be deduced that the developed instructional (educational) materials are effective in developing of probability concepts.
