The Journal of Humanities of Dokuz Eylül University is a peer-reviewed academic journal that aims to publish original theoretical and/or applied studies contributing to the production of scholarly knowledge in the social sciences and humanities, in accordance with the principles of research and publication ethics. The journal's principal objective is to bring original, high-quality research together with the scholarly community and thereby to contribute to the advancement of work in the social sciences and humanities at both the national and the international level.
To this end, the Journal of Humanities of Dokuz Eylül University accepts for evaluation research and review articles prepared in line with the publication ethics principles set out in its masthead. Among the journal's primary commitments are raising the quality of social sciences and humanities research conducted in Türkiye, encouraging high-quality scholarship in keeping with contemporary scientific standards, and fostering an interdisciplinary environment for scholarly debate. The journal further seeks to introduce and discuss current topics drawn from a wide range of disciplines that will appeal to a broad academic readership, and to create a foundation for new scholarly dialogue in these fields.
The Journal of Humanities of Dokuz Eylül University covers original theoretical and/or applied research conducted across the broad spectrum of the social sciences and humanities. The journal accepts for evaluation scholarly studies prepared in fields including, but not limited to, linguistics, translation studies, psychology, sociology, history, philosophy, archaeology, museology, international relations, and philology, as well as other related disciplines.
Studies submitted to the journal are expected to make an original contribution to their respective fields and to be prepared in accordance with the principles of scientific method and publication ethics. Interdisciplinary studies that build theoretical and methodological bridges between different fields are particularly encouraged within the journal's scope.
