Abstract

ÖZ
Siyasal alan, toplumsal düzenin sağlanması ve kamusal yararın gözetilmesi amacıyla gelişmiştir. Ancak, bu alanın sürdürülebilirliği ve toplumsal güvenin tesisinde etik değerlerin rolü tarih boyunca tartışmalı olmuştur. Siyaset kültürü, bir toplumun siyasal değerlerini, normlarını ve liderlere yaklaşımını şekillendiren bir çerçeve sunar. Bu kültürün etik temellere dayanması, demokratik ilkelerin korunması ve siyasal aktörlerin hesap verebilirliği açısından kritik öneme sahiptir. Bu çalışma, siyaset kültüründe etik ilkelerin yerini tarihsel bir perspektifle ele almayı amaçlamaktadır. Çalışmanın ilk bölümde, siyaset kültürünün tanımı ve etiğin tarihsel bağlamı ele alınmaktadır. İkinci bölümde ise modern siyasette etik ilkelerin uygulanabilirliği, popülizm, medya etkisi ve toplumsal kutuplaşma bağlamında analiz edilmektedir. Çalışmanın sonucu olarak siyaset kültürüne etik değerlerin entegrasyonuna yönelik öneriler sunulmaktadır.

AN ANALYSIS OF THE ROLE OF ETHICS IN POLITICAL CULTURE

Abstract

ABSTRACT
The political sphere has developed to ensure social order and safeguard public welfare. However, the role of ethical values in sustaining this domain and establishing social trust has been a matter of debate throughout history. Political culture provides a framework that shapes a society's political values, norms, and attitudes towards leaders. Grounding this culture in ethical principles is crucial for upholding democratic ideals and ensuring the accountability of political actors. This study aims to examine the place of ethical principles in political culture from a historical perspective. The first section addresses the definition of political culture and the historical context of ethics in this realm. The second section analyzes the applicability of ethical principles in modern politics, focusing on populism, media influence, and social polarization. The study concludes by offering recommendations for integrating ethical values into political culture.
