Kanser Taramalarında Öncelikli Hedef Birinci Derece Akrabalar

Öz

Kanserde aile öyküsü önemli bir risk faktörüdür. Meme ya da kolorektal kanseri (KRK) olan hastaların birinci derece akrabalarında bu kanserlerin gelişme riski aile öyküsü olmayanlara göre yüksektir. Yüksek risk grubunda olan bu bireylerin kanser taramalarına düzenli aralıklarla katılımları sağlanmalıdır. Sağlık profesyonelleri tarafından bireylerin aile öyküsünde kanser varlığı, hasta ile akrabalık derecesi değerlendirilip risk düzeyi belirlenmelidir. Hafif, orta ya da yüksek risk grubunda olan bireylerin uygun yaş aralıklarında tarama programlarına katılması bu kanserlerin mortalitesini azaltacaktır. Türkiye’de meme kanseri ve kolorektal kanser oranlarının yüksekliği dikkate alınarak, öncelikle birinci derece akrabaların kanser taramalarına katılımlarının artırılması önerilmektedir.
