NATURAL FREQUENCY AND BUCKLING ANALYSIS OF LAMINATED CURVED BEAMS

Abstract

In this study, the effects of variations of subtended angle, curvature of a laminated curved beam and orientation angle, having an in-plane curvature, on the natural frequencies and buckling load have been investigated by using the Finite Element Method. Sabir and Ashwell’s displacement functions have been used to develop a finite element model to employ in this study. The results obtained with the present element are compared with the results obtained from ANSYS program.
