SIMULATION OF SOLAR – POWERED ABSORPTION COOLING SYSTEM
Abstract
With rapidly increase in world population and developing technology, demand of energy
is ever increasing. In order to meet increasing need of energy, very large and inexhausted
energy type as a renewable energy will be used. Solar energy is one of alternatives.
In this study, solar powered, single stage, absorption cooling system, using water–lithium
bromide solution, is simulated. Using solar energy in this system either possible or not is
investigated and effect of collector type and storage tank mass in the fraction of the total
load met by non–purchased energy (FNP) is researched. In addition, by – pass road is used
in system and effect of its is investigated in FNP.
