EXEMINATION OF THE FORMULAS OF ARMOUR UNIT WEIGHT AT RUBBLE MOUND BREAKWATERS

Abstract

Rubble mound breakwaters are constructed in shoreline (in coastal area). Determination of armour unit weight is very important for structure stability. The effect of dynamic wave is very complex on these type structures. Then determination of their effects as complete is very difficult. In this study, developed some empirical formulas in different countries in last years are compered and for different criterias armour unit weight are obtained and the result of effects these unit weight are investigated.

DALGAKIRANLARDA BLOK AĞIRLIKLARININ BELİRLENMESİ ÜZERİNE YAPILAN ÇALIŞMALARIN İNCELENMESİ

Abstract

Kıyılarda inşa edilen taş dolgu dalgakıranlar, dinamik dalga etkilerine, koruyucu tabakasında kullanılan bloklar ağırlıkları ile karşı koyarlar. Bu nedenle koruyucu tabaka blok ağırlığının belirlenmesi yapı stabilitesi için çok büyük önem arz eder. Bü tür yapılar üzerinde dinamik dalga hareketi çok karmaşık olduğundan, oluşturacağı etkilerin tam olarak belirlenebilmesi çok zordur. Konuyla ilgili laboratuar model çalışmaları devam etmektedir. Bu çalışmada, son yıllarda çeşitli ülkelerde yapılan ve geliştirilen bazı ampirik formüller karşılaştırmalı olarak incelenmiş ve blok ağırlıklarının belirlemesinde farklı kriterlerin sonuca etkileri incelenmiştir.
