Abstract

This study analyses an electrostatic cleaning system designed for a photovoltaic module. A folding grid structure was designed with copper conductors placed perpendicular to each other on positive and negative poles. Three variables—voltage, amount of dust and operation time of the cleaning process—were analysed within this study. It was observed that the applied voltage is the most determinative factor for the cleaning performance. It was determined that as the voltage amount is increased, the cleaning efficiency also increases. 2.5 kV, 3 kV and 3.5 kV voltages were applied to the copper conductors during the cleaning process with 30 g/m2 dust and 3 minutes. The obtained cleaning efficiencies were 59.52%, 71.39% and 83.36%, respectively. The best cleaning efficiency was obtained for a certain range of dust amount. After 3 min. of cleaning process, the increase of efficiency can be considered negligible.

Fotovoltaik Modüllerde Elektrostatik Temizleme Yöntemiyle Tozlanma Kayıplarının Azaltılması Üzerine Deneysel Bir Çalışmanın Değerlendirilmesi
