Abstract

Brucellosis
is a zoonotic disease characterized by multisystem involvement and is
frequently encountered in developing countries. Nervous system involvement is
rare, with a reported incidence of 4–11%. Cranial nerve pathologies, optic
stasis, meningitis, myelitis, radiculopathy, peripheral neuropathy and
vasculopathy are the most common findings of neurobrucellosis and the clinical
picture may show itself in various combinations. Cerebral vasculopathy due to
brucellosis is a very rare entity, with only a few cases reported in the
literature. In this article, it is aimed to present a case of a 60-year-old
male neurobrucellosis who developed stroke due to vasculitic involvement of
deep cerebral penetrating vessels and to discuss it in the light of the
literature.

Abstract

Kranial sinir patolojileri, optik staz, menenjit, myelit, radikulopati,
