TÜRKİYE’NİN REKABET GÜCÜ PERFORMANSI: 1995-2022 YILLARI ARASI HİBRİT MCDM MODELİ İLE ANALİZ

Abstract

Rekabet gücü, bir ülkenin ekonomik istikrarı ve sürdürülebilir büyümesi açısından kritik öneme sahiptir, zira ülkelerin uluslararası piyasalarda başarılı bir şekilde rekabet edebilme kapasitesi, kalkınma hedeflerini doğrudan etkiler. Bu önem doğrultusunda, Türkiye’nin 1995-2022 yılları arasındaki rekabet gücü performansının değerlendirilmesi amaçlamaktadır. Çalışmada, tarımsal hammadde, sermaye malları, tüketim malları, gıda ürünleri, ara mal, tekstil ve giyim, plastik veya kauçuk, makineler ve elektronik, makine ve taşımacılık ekipmanları ile hayvansal ürünler gibi sektörel performans verilerini temel alınarak Türkiye'nin yıllar bazındaki rekabet gücü detaylı olarak incelenmiştir. Analiz kapsamında, göstergelerin ağırlıklarını belirlemek için SPC (Symmetry Point of Criterion) yöntemi, yıllık sıralama oluşturmak için ise SRP (Simple Ranking Process) yöntemi kullanılmıştır. SPC ve SRP yöntemleri bir araya getirilerek hibrit bir Çok Kriterli Karar Verme (MCDM) modeli önerilmiştir. Bulgular, Türkiye’nin en yüksek rekabet gücü performansını 2007, 2013 ve 2014 yıllarında gösterdiğini, en düşük performansın ise 1995, 2001 ve 2009 yıllarında gerçekleştiğini ortaya koymaktadır.

TURKİYE'S COMPETITIVENESS PERFORMANCE: ANALYZING THE 1995-2022 PERIOD WITH A HYBRID MCDM MODEL

Abstract

Competitiveness is critical for a country's economic stability and sustainable growth, as the capacity of countries to compete successfully in international markets directly affects their development goals. This study aims to evaluate Turkiye's competitiveness performance between 1995 and 2022 in line with this importance. In the study, Turkiye's competitiveness over the years is analyzed in detail based on sectoral performance data, including agricultural raw materials, capital goods, consumer goods, food products, ıntermediate goods, textiles and clothing, plastic or rubber, mach and elec machinery and transport equipment, animal products. Within the scope of the analysis, the SPC method was used to determine the weights of the indicators, while the SRP method was employed to create annual rankings. A hybrid Multi-Criteria Decision Making (MCDM) model was proposed by combining the SPC and SRP methods. The findings reveal that Turkiye's highest competitiveness performance occurred in 2007, 2013, and 2014, while the lowest performance was observed in 1995, 2001, and 2009.
