Role of Personality and Environmental Factors in Reaction of Schizofren and Normals against Size Constancy

Abstract

In this study, the role of visual perception between normal and schizoprenic patients was investigated. According to DSM III R diagnosis criteria by personal arientation inventory, 30 normal and 30 schizophrenic patients were included in the study. Of the visual perception tests,the size constancy was performed on both groups. The decisions of the Size constancy of subjects were obtained by comparing five standart stimuli darwn on a white cartoon whose diameters were 8 cm² and sixteen comparision stimuli that had the same content but different dimensions with standart stimulus. In this tudy. Two general hypothesis and related five sub-hypothesis were suggested. The size constancy of the subjects were solved by variance analysis and t test methods. As a result,it was seen that visual perception,distance and emotional factors between Normal and schiophrenic patiens were effective in the size constancy.

Şizofren Ve Normallerin Büyüklük Konstansına Olan Tepkilerinde Kişilik ve Çevre Faktörlerinin Rolü

Abstract

Bu çalışmada normal kişiler ve şizofren hastalar arasında görsel algının rolü araştırıldı. 30 normal kişi, 30 şizofren hasta deney kapsamına alındı.Normal olma Kişisel Yönelim Envanteri ile şizofreni tanısı da DSM III R ile belirlendi. Her iki gruba da görsel algı testlerinden olan büyüklük konstansı testleri uygulandı. Büyüklük konstansının hükümleri 8 cm beyaz bir karton üzerinde 5 standart uyarıcıyla, 16 mukayese uyarıcısı karşılaştırılarak elde edildi. Sonuçta; standart uyarıcılar ile bazı farklı boyutların algısında farklılık araştırıldı. Bu araştırmada 2 genel hipotez ile bu iki hipotezin 5 alt hipotez test edildi. Büyüklük konstansının hükümleri “varyans analizi” ve “t önem testi” ile çözümlendi. Sonuç olarak normallerle şizofren hastalar arasında görsel algı, mesafe ve emosyonel faktörlerin büyüklük konstasında etkili olduğu görüldü.
