Aural myiasis after mastoidectomy: Case report

Abstract

Myiasis is a disease caused by fly larvae. Aural myiasis is a rare clinical condition often occuring in children or mentally retarded people. Aural myiasis is a health problem that disturbs person extremely and it is easy to diagnose and cure and rarely results in a vital problem. In the present case presentation, we present a case undergoing modified radical mastoidectomy and having myiasis in the left ear.

Mastoidektomi sonrası kulak miyazisi: Olgu sunumu

Abstract

Miyazis, sinek larvalarının neden olduğu bir hastalıktır. Kulak miyazisi ise genellikle çocuklarda ya da mental retarde kişilerde gelişen nadir bir klinik durumdur. Kulak miyazisi, kişiyi aşırı derecede huzursuz eden tanı koyması kolay ve tedavisi yüz güldüren, hayatı nadiren tehdit eden bir sağlık sorunudur. Bu olgu sunumunda modifiye radikal mastoidektomi ameliyatı yapılan, sol kulakta yerleşmiş miyazis olgusu sunuldu.
