Giant solitary trichoepithelioma: A Case report

Abstract

Trichoepithelioma is a benign cutaneus tumour originat­ing from hair follicles. It is most commonly found on the face and scalp. Histopathologic examination was com­posed of band-like nests of basaloid cells showing pe­ripheral palization, abortive hair papilla and horn cysts in a fibrocellular stroma. A 82-year-old woman applied for a 10-year old groin mass that recently slowly growing. The lesion was excised and it was diagnosed as giant solitary trichoephitelioma.

Dev soliter trikoepitelyoma: Olgu sunumu

Abstract

Trikoepitelyoma saç folikülinden köken alan, benign bir deri eki tümörüdür. Sıklıkla yüzde ve saçlı deride görülür. Histopatolojik olarak fibröz stroma içinde periferik pali­zatlanma gösteren bazaloid adalar, kordonlar, abortif saç papillaları ve boynuzsu kistik yapılardan oluşur. Seksen iki yaşındaki kadın hastanın inguinal bölgede yaklaşık 10 yıldır mevcut olan, son zamanlarda yavaşça büyüyen kitlesi mevcuttu. Cerrahi olarak eksize edilen kitleye dev soliter trikoepitelyoma tanısı verildi. Burada farklı bir loka­lizasyonda ve boyutları büyük olan nadir görülen bir triko­epitelyoma olgusu sunulmuştur.
