Yapay Zeka Döneminde Çocuk Olmak: Fırsatlar ve Riskler

Abstract

Yapay Zeka (YZ) çağında çocuk olmanın getirdiği fırsatları ve riskleri ele almaktadır. YZ’ nin eğitim, yaratıcılık ve beceri gelişimi ile erişilebilirlik gibi alanlarda çocuklara önemli avantajlar sunduğu belirtilmektedir. Mahremiyet ve veri güvenliği ihlalleri, istismar ve sömürü riskleri ile bağımlılık ve sosyal izolasyon gibi tehlikeler de vurgulanmaktadır. Çocuk hakları perspektifinden YZ’nin etkilerini değerlendirerek, Birleşmiş Milletler Çocuk Hakları Sözleşmesi'nin temel ilkelerinin dijital ortamda da geçerli olduğunu savunmaktadır. YZ sistemlerinin tasarımında çocuğun üstün yararının gözetilmesi, yasal ve etik düzenlemelerin yapılması, ebeveynlerin ve eğitimcilerin bilinçlendirilmesi, çocukların dijital okuryazarlığının artırılması ve teknoloji şirketlerinin sorumluluğu gibi çözüm önerileri sunulmaktadır. YZ çağında çocuklar için fırsatlar kadar mahremiyet, güvenlik ve psikolojik riskler de vardır. Riskleri azaltmak için yasal düzenlemeler, bilinçlendirme ve çocuk güvenliğini öncelikleyen teknolojik çözümler şartlardan bahsedilmiştir. YZ’ nin çocuklar için sunduğu fırsatların değerlendirilmesi ve potansiyel risklerin en aza indirilmesi gerektiği, bu dengeyi sağlamanın tüm paydaşların ortak sorumluluğu olduğu vurgulanmaktadır.

Being a Child in the Age of Artificial Intelligence: Opportunities and Risks

Abstract

The AI era presents significant opportunities for children in education, creativity, skill development, and accessibility. However, it also brings risks such as privacy violations, data security breaches, exploitation, addiction, and social isolation. From a child rights perspective, the principles of the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child must also apply in digital spaces. AI systems should prioritize the best interests of children, supported by legal and ethical regulations. Solutions include raising awareness among parents and educators, improving children's digital literacy, and ensuring technology companies take responsibility. While AI offers immense potential for children, privacy, security, and psychological risks must be addressed. Reducing these risks requires legal frameworks, public awareness, and child-safe technological solutions. Balancing AI's benefits and risks is a shared responsibility among all stakeholders to ensure a safe and empowering digital future for children.
