Child Welfare

Year 2023, Volume: 3 Issue: 6, 115 - 128, 25.12.2023

Abstract

It seems that the world's need for universal welfare is increasing day by day. The welfare needs of societies and humanity vary due to wars, natural disasters and epidemics. However, situations such as humanity following technological developments and benefiting from this process at a global level may cause the need for welfare to be discussed more. At the same time, while the level of welfare is important in every unit of society, this becomes a much more sensitive issue when the target population is children. From this perspective, protecting the child's well-being always comes to the fore. Based on the child's well-being, all other support services should be provided to children to ensure child welfare. In order to ensure child welfare, it works towards the same goal as the developments expected to be made in the fields of volunteering, children and advocacy, and child participation in social functioning. For this purpose, various practices are carried out in different age groups and institutions so that children can grow up in a safe, healthy and happy environment. In order to ensure child welfare, studies that combine innovative practices and social norms at a global level need to be carried out together. Moreover, considering that not every child can be raised in a family environment with the same welfare level, addressing child welfare among children in need of protection represents an important issue. For this purpose, in this study, the literature on child well-being, volunteering service, child participation, children and advocacy, which contribute to the integrity of child welfare, was examined thematically.

Çocuk Refahı

Year 2023, Volume: 3 Issue: 6, 115 - 128, 25.12.2023
