SUICIDE CASE IN THE FRAME OF RELIGIOUS REFERENCES AND THE STRUGGLE AGAINST THE MENTAL CODES FEEDING SUICIDE

Abstract

Suicide, the common product of the complex processes into one another and the traumas of all sizes, is a case committed by the effect of multiple factors. Islam accepts suicide as an unjustifi ed interference to human respect and the inviolability of life and defi nitely refuses suicide committed in whatever shape and for whatever purpose. The person who intends suicide perceives each of the factors that brought him to that point in company with his own frame of faith and mental forms. Because person uses his mental codes developing with respect to space and time he is in as from his childhood, while recognizing the world, making sense of life and evaluating himself. These codes are the keys of mentality which works as a criterion to distinguish right and wrong, beautiful and ugly, good and bad. In this paper, at fi rst, the suicide case will be evaluated in the light of basic texts of religion, and then a number of mental codes produced in modern times which ease the suicide will be considered and how these codes can be met with healthy religious refere

DİNÎ REFERANSLAR ÇERÇEVESİNDE İNTİHAR OLGUSU VE İNTİHARI BESLEYEN DÜȘÜNCE KALIPLARIYLA MÜCADELE

Abstract

Birbirine geçmiş karmaşık süreçlerin ve küçüklü büyüklü travmaların ortak ürünü olan intihar, birden çok faktörün etkisiyle ortaya çıkan psikopatolojik bir olgudur. İslâm dini, insanın saygınlığına ve can dokunulmazlığına dair haksız bir müdahale olarak kabul ettiği intiharı, şekli ve gayesi ne olursa olsun kesinlikle reddeder. İntihara niyetlenen kişi, kendisini bu noktaya getiren faktörlerin her birini sahip olduğu inanç çerçevesi ve zihin kalıpları eşliğinde algılar. Zira insan, dünyayı tanırken, hayatı anlamlandırırken ve kendisini değerlendirirken küçük yaşlardan itibaren içinde bulunduğu zaman ve mekâna bağlı olarak gelişen zihin kodlarını kullanır. Bu kodlar zihniyetin anahtarları olup iyi ile kötüyü, güzel ile çirkini, doğru ile yanlışı ayırt etmede birer kıstas görevi görmektedir. Bu makalede, öncelikle intihar olgusu dinin temel metinleri ışığında değerlendirilecek, ardından modern zamanların ürünü olan ve intiharı kolaylaştırdığı dü- şünülen birtakım zihinsel kodlar üzerinde durularak, sağlıklı dinî referanslar eşliğinde bunlarla nasıl başa çıkılabileceği tartışılacaktır.
