THE UMMAH BRODERHOOD FROM QUR’AN PERSPECTIVE

Abstract

Regardless of gender, language, color, race, the whole Muslims are gathered under the ummah roof. The race or posterity or status does not matter in the Ummah. The superiority is only taqwa. This great unity consists by means of brotherhood. So Ummah is society that based on religious brotherhood. Religious brotherhood are interlocking all Muslims as the stone of a building and ıt makes them one Ummah by making a single body. Due to this brotherhood, love, compassion, cooperation and solidarity dominate in the Ummah. Joys and sorrows are shared from the heart. The most important threat to the Ummah brotherhood is the jingoism/racism and sectarianism. Because, the racism/jingoism and sectarianism divides and breaks into pieces the Ummah. Indeed, the Ummah, after the 19th century, has broken into pieces and has lost its power in all respects. Despite all the negativity in the last centuries, cooperation, solidarity, sharing feelings of joy and grief has continued among Muslims. Such an example is not possible to see in other communities.

KUR’ÂN PERSPEKTİFİNDEN ÜMMET KARDEȘLİĞİ

Abstract

Cinsiyeti, dili, rengi, ırkı ne olursa olsun, bütün Müslümanlar ümmet çatısı altında toplanmıştır. Ümmette ırka, soya veya statüye bakılmaz. Üstünlük ancak takva iledir. Bu büyük birliği din kardeşliği meydana getirmektedir. Yani ümmet, tamamen din kardeş- liği üzerine kurulu bir toplumdur. Din kardeşliği, bütün Müslümanları bir binanın taşları gibi birbirine kenetlemekte ve onları bir beden hâline getirerek bir tek ümmet yapmaktadır. Kardeşliğin gereği olarak ümmette, sevgi, merhamet, yardımlaşma ve dayanış- ma hâkimdir. Sevinç ve üzüntüler yürekten paylaşılır. Ümmet kardeşliğine karşı en önemli tehlike kavmiyetçilik, cemaatçilik ve grupçuluktur. Çünkü kavmiyetçilik, cemaatçilik veya grupçuluk ümmeti böler ve parçalar. Nitekim ümmet, 19. yüzyıldan sonra kavmiyetçilik sebebiyle parçalanmış, her bakımdan gücünü yitirmiştir. Son iki asırdaki tüm olumsuzluklara rağmen Müslümanlar arasındaki yardımlaşma, dayanışma, sevinç ve kederleri paylaşma duyguları devam etmiştir. Böyle bir örneği başka toplumlarda görmek mümkün değildir
