VİZYONU FROM THE POINT OF EXEMPLARINESS FOR TODAY AL-FÂRÂBÎ’S VISION

Abstract

Philosophy wasn’t made in the way of that disconnected from the past. On the other hand, philosophizing does not only consist of transmitting the past. One way of philosophizing is possible by taking the example of people who preceded us and their methods of philosophizing, their views and visions; and carrying out these all to our time. In this study, fi rst of all, the vision of al-Fârâbî will be presented by some examples of his ideas. Then the contribution of this vision to contemporary Islamic thought, its signifi cance, exemplariness and guidance for today’s Muslim world, particularly its refl ections for improvement and transformation
