THE CERTİFİCATİON PROBLEMS OF HALAL FOOD AND SOLUTİON OFFERS

Abstract

Food trade in the global world market has spreaded all over the world. For muslims the food must be halal and this is a compulsory issue. While the population is declining and the family structure is decreasing in industrialized countries, the population is growing rapidly and the great family structure is common in Muslim countries. There are works regarding halal certification and halal parks in many countries from Asia to Pacific. The certification is not a documentation only; it is a comprehensive situation including all areas and processes of the food. At the same time, since the concept of halal bears the meaning of healthy, it also began to draw the attention of non-Muslims. The basic principles of the religion is clear concerning the distinction of halal and haram. But there is a confusion on this issue in terms of consumers today. There are difficulties in finding satisfactory answers in all areas. The majority of halal patented products are manufactured by non-Muslims. Therefore, control and audit tasks must be undertaken by capable Muslims authorities. Thus, a router, alternative manufacturer and solution-oriented judicial and administrative structure about halal is necessary
