Signs and symbols simply indicate concrete creatures, thoughts, and situations. As there is a symbol of every existing being, the religion Islam also has signs and symbols which are called “Sha’air al-Islam” (Symbols of Islam). Determining the Islamic signs and symbols, which have emerged within a process in Islamic history of thought and civilization, has become more important in the globalizing world. It is a necessity to respect the signs and symbols of the religion in order to recognize, know and protect it for establishing the social and global peace. For this reason, respect for the sha’air of
Allah includes the respect for all provisions of Him. Shariah of the Prophet Abraham has a significant role in putting into practice the commands and prohibitions of Allah. The Prophet Muhammad continued the religious practices and forms of prayer that the Prophet Abraham initiated. There are also some symbols that passed down from the Prophet Abraham such as Hajj (pilgrimage), Ka’bah, sacrifice, and being circumcised /Hitan
