Abstract
Ahmed Naīm is a sophisticated scholar from the remainder of the Ottoman Empire. He has works on subjects related to different branches of science, especially philosophy and hadith. It is seen that Ahmed Naīm is an author that needs to be read/ understood because of his writings, his scientific position, and the political-intellectual environment he was in. Getting to know him is important to understand the characteristics of the turbulent transition period he lived in in terms of his works and the duties he performed. In terms of duty, he also held many senior administrative positions. Foremost among these were the teaching of Philosophy Branch of Dārülfünūn, and the duty of rector of the same university for a period. In addition, he takes place among the leading writers of Sırāt-ı Müstakīm/ Sebīlürreşād. In addition, indirectly, his thoughts on the subjects of the discipline of Kalam are encountered in his works on Islamic morality. It is important to know the thoughts of Ahmed Naīm, who lived in a period when the calls for the renewal of kalam appeared, about general theology as well as on this subject.
