Assoc. Prof. Dr. Yusuf Zafer Can UĞURHAN holds a master’s and doctorate degree in communication sciences and has earned the title of associate professor in communication studies. Additionally, he has completed a second master’s degree in distance education. Dr. UĞURHAN is a faculty member at Anadolu University, serving in the Faculty of Communication Sciences, Department of Public Relations and Advertising.

Dr. UĞURHAN’s research focuses primarily on communication studies, social media, and open and distance learning. His academic expertise spans univariate and multivariate statistical techniques, as well as quantitative and qualitative research methods. He has served as a panelist for TÜBİTAK projects, actively contributing to project evaluation processes. In addition, he has conducted training sessions on project cycle management and research methods for institutions affiliated with the Ministry of National Education. Through these efforts, he continues to share his knowledge and expertise by providing in-service training to institutions under the Council of Higher Education and the Ministry of National Education.

Dr. UĞURHAN is the editor of the book “Individual, Society, and Communication in the Context of Digitalization” and the author of the independent book “Social Media Influencers as Sources and Channels in Advertising.”
