Articles submitted to DKYAD should not contain plagiarism.
For the articles submitted until August 3, 2023, the journal used plagiarism detection softwares such as iThenticate and Turnitin before and after the evaluation when reviewers and/or editors deemed it necessary.
As of this date (August 3, 2023), the plagiarism control policy has been updated: Following the decision taken by the Editorial Board of the Journal, it has been decided that every article submitted to the Journal will be screened for plagiarism. All the articles compliant with the rules for writing and are within the scope of DKYAD are checked for plagiarism using iThenticate or Turnitin software programs. The accepted maximum similarity rate is 20% in the Journal. If this rate is exceeded, the plagiarism reports reviewed by the Editorial Board are shared with the author(s), and the Board may request the author(s) to correct the errors in the report or return the article to the author(s). The final version of the article is again subjected to plagiarism evaluation.
