Abstract

Medicinal use of herbs for remedies has played an important part during historical periods. Practicable risks of surgery and lack of knowledge about analgesics, antibiotics, and antiseptics led people to use herbal medicines which were the best way of treatment without jeopardizing their lives. As a result, using of herbs came into prominence for not only nourishing but also treating people. Our main interest in this study will be one of these useful herbs Liquidambar Orientalis

Günlük Ağacı (Liquidambar orientalis, Sığla)

Abstract

Tarih boyunca bitkilerle tedavi tıpta önemli bir yer işgal etmiştir. Cerrahi tedavinin tehlikesi, analjezik, antibiyotik ve antiseptiklerin bilinmemesi insanları daha az hayati tehlike taşıyan bitkisel tedaviye yöneltmiştir. Bunun sonucunda sadece beslenmek için değil, tedavi için de bitkiler ön plana çıkmıştır. Çalışmamızın konusu, işte bu bitkilerden biri olan Günlük Ağacı’dır
