KÜMELEME ANALİZİ İLE SAĞLIK GÖSTERGELERİNE GÖRE TÜRKİYE’DEKİ İLLERİN SINIFLANDIRILMASI

Abstract

Kümeleme analizi verilerin gruplara ayrılmasında kullanılan bir sınıflandırma yöntemidir. Yöntemin amacı, gruplanmamış verileri benzerliklerine göre sınıflandırmak ve araştırmacıya özet bilgiler sunmaktır. Kümeleme analizi, özellikle tıp, ziraat, mühendislik ve sosyal bilimlerde yaygın olarak kullanılan çok değişkenli bir istatistik yöntemidir. Bu çalışmada 81 ile ait 10 sağlık değişkeni ile aynı yapıyı gösteren il gruplarının belirlenmesine çalışılmıştır. Bu nedenle, “Kümeleme Analizi” adı verilen yöntemin kullanılması uygun görülmüştür. TÜİK 2010 yılına ilişkin sağlık istatistikleri kullanılarak 81 il, sağlık yapılarına göre kümelendirilmiştir. Küme sayılarının belirlenmesinde 81 ilin kümeleme analiziyle 7, 10 ve 15 kümeye ayrıldığındaki sonuçlar incelenmiştir. Analiz sonucunda, sağlık verilerine göre en kötü durumdaki iller de belirlenmiştir.

CLASSIFICATION OF PROVINCES IN TURKEY ACCORDING TO HEALTH INDICATORS BY CLUSTER ANALYSIS

Abstract

Cluster analysis is a classification method that is used to arrange a set of form into clusters. The aim of this method is to classify a set of clusters such that cases within a cluster are more similar to each other and to submit summary information of the data to researchers. Cluster analysis is an extensively used multivariate statistical method in especially medicine, agriculture, engineering and social sciences. In this study, 10 health variables are used to determine the homogeneous province groups relating to data of 81 provinces. For this reason the cluster method has been selected. By using 2010 health data obtained from TSI, the provinces are clustered according to the health structure. During the determination process of the number of clusters for 81 provinces, the results of 7, 10and 15 clusters are examined. As a consequence of the analysis, the provinces having the worst conditions are also determined according to the health data
