Dogus University Journal

Doğuş University Journal is an electronic scientific journal published by Doğuş University and operates based on a blind peer-review process. Established in 2000, the journal was included in the TR Index in 2002, gained international recognition by being indexed by EconLit in 2008, and EBSCOhost in 2010. Its target audience includes academics, researchers, professionals, students, and relevant professional and academic institutions and organizations. At no stage of the review process does the journal charge authors any fees.
Doğuş University Journal aims to publish original scientific articles in Economics, Business, and Finance in both Turkish and English. The journal seeks to publish original articles that contribute to the existing literature and/or practices and is also open to interdisciplinary publications that add value to the field. All submitted manuscripts undergo a preliminary review for relevance to the journal’s scope, contribution to existing literature/practice, and originality. As of November 1, 2025, review articles and bibliometric analyses have been excluded from the journal’s scope.
Authors submitting manuscripts to Doğuş University Journal must prepare their articles according to the journal’s writing guidelines and upload them to the system together with a completed and signed Copyright Form in scanned format. All submitted manuscripts are subject to a format check, during which both the manuscript formatting and the plagiarism rate, including AI-generated content, are evaluated. Manuscripts that do not comply with the writing guidelines and/or have a high plagiarism rate are returned to the author for correction. Manuscripts that fail to meet the required criteria after correction are returned to the author.
Furthermore, ethical committee approval is required for all research that involves human or animal subjects. Manuscripts without an ethics approval document are returned to the authors without being processed.
As of January 1, 2026, authors of accepted English-language manuscripts will be required to submit a proofreading certificate before publication.
As of January 1, 2026, the journal has adopted a continuous publication model, and manuscripts will be published according to the acceptance date according to the following schedule:
• Articles accepted in December–January–February will be published in March.
• Articles accepted in March–April–May will be published in June.
• Articles accepted in June–July–August will be published in September.
• Articles accepted in September–October–November will be published in December.
