In this work, the recovery of kerosene, used as a solvent in dying process in textile industry, was investigated. It is generally known that adsorption-desorption method is not very successful for solvents with boiling points higher than 200°C The boiling point range for kerosene is 170-2S0°C Therefore, the recovery of kerosene vapour by condensation would be reasonable. In theoretical basis, it was calculated that, when the air containing 4000 ppm kerosene vapour (33 % of lower explosive limit) is cooled to SoC, 96% of vapour can be condensed. This ratio was found to be 48% experimentally. It is also known that any yield above 20% is feasible.
Bu cahsrnada, tekstil sanayiinde boyama unitelerinde cozucu olarak kullarnlan gazyagimn gerikazarnrn yonterni arasunlrrusnr. Kaynama noktasi 200°C dan daha yuksek cozuculer icin adsorpsiyon-desorpsiyon yonterninin uygun olrnadigi bilinmektedir. Gazyagirun kaynama arahgi 170-250 °C oldugundan buharlanrun yogusturularak geri kazamlrnasi gerekmektedir. Havadaki derisimi 4000 ppm (all patlama limitinin yuzde otuz ucu) olan gazyagt buharlanrun, 5°C a kadar sogutulmasi ile kuramsal temelde %96 oranmda yogusturulabilecegi hesaplandi. Deneysel cahsrna bu orarun % 48 oldugunu gosterdi, Basma fabrikalarinda % 20'nin uzerindeki her verim tasarruf irnkaru saglar.
