Green Approaches to the Accounting Profession: Using Environmentally Friendly Practices

Abstract

In the world we live in today, the sensitivity of ecological problems and economic needs has increased the popularity of green computing due to the continuous increase in energy consumption of cognitive technologies. The aim of the study is that usage of cloud computing applications in the accounting profession, it will provide significant benefits to those who use cloud computing applications not only in terms of technological, financial, and social aspects but also in terms of the environment. In addition to saving energy by using cloud accounting applications, it makes a significant contribution to the environment by increasing efficiency and reducing carbon footprints, paper, and toner consumption. The reasons why cloud accounting applications are preferred in the accounting profession are due to the many features of the applications, such as security, accessibility, measurability, integration, ease of use, cost reduction, which we can not count. Many businesses and professionals abandon classical accounting methods and prefer cloud accounting applications. The first part of my study is the introduction; the second part is the definitions of cloud accounting, its advantages, and disadvantages, to who prefers it or not; the third part is the definition of green accounting, its aims, advantages, difficulties, the basic roles of the accountant; the fourth part is the environmental friendliness of cloud accounting applications and the fifth part is the conclusion part.

Muhasebe Mesleğinde Yeşil Yaklaşımlar: Çevre Dostu Uygulamaların Kullanılması

Abstract

Günümüzde yaşadığımız dünyada bilişsel teknolojilerin sürekli enerji tüketimin artırmasından dolayı ekolojik sorunlara ve ekonomik gereksinimlere olan duyarlılık yeşil bilişimin popülerliğini artırmıştır. Çalışmanın amacı bulut bilişim uygulamalarını muhasebe mesleğinde kullanmanın bulut bilişim uygulamalarını kullananlara sadece teknolojik, finansal ve sosyal açıdan değil, çevresel açıdan da son derece önemli faydalar sağlamaktır. Bulut muhasebe uygulamaları kullanımı, enerjiden tasarruf edilmesinin yanında verimliliği artırma, karbon ayak izlerini, kâğıt ve toner tüketimini azaltarak çevreye son derece önemli katkıda bulunur. Muhasebe mesleğinde bulut muhasebe uygulamalarının tercih edilme sebepleri, uygulamaların güvenlik, erişebilirlik, ölçülebilirlik, entegrasyon, kullanım kolaylığı, maliyet azaltma gibi birçok özelliğinden kaynaklanmaktadır. İşletmeler ve meslek mensupları klasik muhasebe yöntemlerini terk ederek bulut muhasebe uygulamalarını tercih etmektedir. Çalışmamın ilk bölümü giriş, ikinci bölümü bulut muhasebenin tanımlarından, avantajlarından, dezavantajlarından, kimler tarafından tercih edilip ve edilmediğinden, üçüncü bölümü yeşil muhasebenin tanımından, amaçlarından, avantajlarından, zorluklarından, muhasebecinin temel rollerinden, dördüncü bölümü bulut muhasebe uygulamaların çevre dostu olmasından ve beşinci bölümü sonuç bölümünden oluşmaktadır.
