ARTISTIC EXPRESSION FOR LAND ART AND ARTE POVERA IN THE DESCRIPTION OF FRANCIS BACON’S THEORY OF IDOL
Abstract
The aim of the research is an examination of Francis Bacon’s Idol Theory analysis, the experienced reality in the postmodern perception and artistic expression creating under an artist expression. Conscious and query idea while creating an artistic expression caused a tendency to art-science relation in the illustrated works of intellectual genesis. The research subject which is Francis Bacon’s “Theory of Idol” and effects of intellectual queries on artworks were analyzed in the relational screening model for land art and arte povera. Robert Smithson, Richard Long, Michael Heizer, Christo Javacheff and Jeanne Claude’s works in the research were examined in the context of relevancy to each other and obtained findings created an examination on rhetoric expressions of artists. At the same time, artistic expression genesis based on critical artistic expressions of artists in the sample was analyzed with using descriptive context analysis method.
